Testimonials

When I originally met Mr Razvi for a consultation he told me I needed surgery.  He made me feel relaxed and at ease with his manner.  I decided there and then I wanted him to perform the operation. I had my operation at the Nuffield in Brentwood.  Again, I felt Mr Razvi’s manner was excellent.  My care and attention was also brilliant.  I would totally recommend him to anybody who needs to have surgery.

I had a huge fibroid more than 10 cms which was growing rapidly, and I needed surgery as soon as possible.  I was in pain and  the fibroid was so big that I could feel it when I lay down.  On the day of surgery I was told I also had an ovarian cyst which Mr Razvi assured me that he would also remove.  I had  myomectomy and ovarian cystectomy surgery and the procedure went very smoothly. Mr Razvi is the best doctor I could have had to conduct the surgery and tackle the two problems with minimal cuts.  I am very happy with the scars and my recovery. I would highly recommend Mr Khalil Razvi to anyone with similar symptoms.  He is a very professional and genuine person.  He gives you confidence that the surgery will be successful.

I am 38 and had breast cancer twice (2010 and 2016).  I am also a carrier of the BRCA2 gene mutation.  After experiencing pain in my ovaries, bloating and feeling generally unwell I met with Mr Razvi who diagnosed a 5 cm cyst on my right ovary, and given my medical history, advised that the cyst should be removed. After a small operation to remove the cyst, the symptoms have gone and I feel like myself again.  The scars are very small and can hardly be noticed.  The cyst was clear of any cancer and my follow up with Mr Razvi was thorough.  Given my history, Mr Razvi will scan me and see me every 6 months. Mr Razvi’s care was professional, thorough and I was looked after very well.  His attention to the care and treatment I received was excellent.

I was diagnosed with a cyst causing extremely painful periods.  IVF treatment (frozen transfer) was halted due to the cyst. Following surgery I recovered well and was back at work after 5 ½ weeks.  I also was able to have an embryo transfer 2 months after the procedure and am delighted to be now 16 weeks pregnant. Mr Razvi was professional and courteous with the risks and issues explained well throughout, and the joint co-operation between him and the urologist (Mr Vohra) went smoothly. After 3 years of trying to conceive, being able to resume IVF treatment and its success has changed our lives.  Thank you.

In September 2017 five years after surgery for endometriosis I began to suffer from chronic pain again.  The condition was so bad that it affected all aspects of my daily life. I was referred to the Nuffield and saw Mr Razvi in December 2017 and after investigations I went into hospital for another operation in January 2018. I underwent a laparoscopy as a day patient for removal of the endometriosis. In February 2018 I had a follow up appointment with Mr Razvi who explained the operation had gone well and he had also removed a cyst on my ovary.  Due to the severity of my condition I was put on Prostap (early menopause injections) for 3 months.  Before the 3 months was up I had an MRI scan and a follow up appointment with Mr Razvi where he explained my condition  in great detail which reassured me and gave me a good understanding of its severity and likelihood of recurrence. I have since not suffered from the chronic pain. The staff at the hospital were very attentive and looked after me really well. I would highly recommend Mr Razvi and the hospital after the care I received.

I had a hysterectomy 6 years ago and recently suffered some bleeding.  Mr Razvi acted very quickly in trying to find the exact cause. Mr Razvi has an absolutely fantastic manner and understanding of over 50s ladies – very pleased!

I was experiencing pain and as advised that it was due to enlarged fibroids.  I underwent a full hysterectomy via surgical incision.  The results came back borderline and have been sent for further analysis.  I am only 4 weeks post op, but so far, so good! Mr Razvi, what a lovely man!  Mr Razvi was the second gynaecologist I saw as I was not happy with the first gynaecologist.  At our first consultation he made both myself and my husband feel totally at ease and confident in him (which is saying something as my husband trusts no-one in the medical profession).  He examined me straightaway and sent me for an MRI scan.  When he had the results he was very decisive about me having the hysterectomy, there was no uncertainty.  The last thing you need is a consultant saying “well it’s your decision, you might need it, you might not”, which is what happened with the previous consultant. The treatment I received from the Spire Wellesley was excellent Our opinion is that Mr Razvi is a very compassionate, caring consultant who is extremely thorough, and we would have no hesitation in recommending him.

I was suffering from severe pain, having extremely heavy periods and losing large clots of blood. My mental health was deteriorating and I would often have outbursts and cry most of the time.  My condition affected all of the family as they never knew what to expect. I visited Mr Razvi at the Spire London East and explained all my symptoms.  I was immediately sent for blood tests and scans. Even before the results were back, Mr Razvi believed my condition was due to the fact that I was on HRT and my body was in complete ‘hormone overload’. He suggested I stop the HRT immediately and return in a few weeks for follow up tests. Mr Razvi was spot on!  My symptoms alleviated and my hormone levels came down.  My life has improved 100% and I feel like a totally different person. Mr Razvi listened to me and did not make me feel I was either going mad or just moaning. He was so professional and immediately knew what was happening to me. I was in such a terrible place and now I feel my life has begun again.  All my family are delighted. I would recommend Mr Razvi to any ladies suffering in this way.

Problems started 2-3 months before appointment.  Feeling not 100%, but no pain. Very restless nights/tired, not sleeping easily. A decision to perform a  hysterectomy, repair of prolapse and removal of ovaries was explained by Mr Razvi and thoroughly discussed with me and my sister (this helped!). On admission, my family arriving with me at hospital were welcomed, and free to visit which made a huge difference to me! I spent three days and two nights in hospital with consistent care and friendliness from ALL staff. I gained confidence with very good aftercare.  Mr Razvi was happy!  Me too! Mr Razvi was kind, quiet, gentle, but authoritative.  He inspired confidence/calmness, and the entire team were excellent in their professionalism with a superb friendly/family approach which I really valued. Mr Razvi has incredible experience as well as a good listening ear. All staff, clerical/medical gave time to listen carefully which I really appreciated. A HUGE THANK YOU TO MR RAZVI AND EVERYONE AT THE WELLESLEY HOSPITAL.

I suffered from excruciating pain down my right side and felt very sick.  This went off after I rested but I never knew when it would recur. Everyday normal activities became difficult and I felt my life was on hold.  After scans and tests I was diagnosed to have a very large ovarian cyst, and a blood test showed a high chance of it being cancerous. I made an appointment to see Mr Razvi at the Nuffield in Brentwood.  He immediately made me feel at ease with such an amazing, calm and patient manner.  He confirmed that I did have a very large ovarian cyst and booked me in for surgery the following week.  I had open surgery for removal of the cyst, both ovaries and fallopian tubes. Mr Razvi explained everything about the surgery carefully and in detail and he had no qualms about answering every question that I had.  I was very happy after the surgery to find out this it was not cancerous .  I have recovered well after the surgery and it’s wonderful to be pain free. I would absolutely have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Mr Razvi.  His whole kind, caring and professional demeanour made a difficult time so much easier.  His team and everybody at the Nuffield Brentwood were compassionate, kind and helpful.

For approximately 35 years I suffered with heavy periods, clots, flooding, back and leg pains, and feeling completely washed out.  After trying the pill and the coil and suffering migraines, my GP agreed to refer me to Mr Razvi. At my first appointment I explained everything thoroughly and was examined by Mr Razvi.  I asked if I could be considered for a hysterectomy, but Mr Razvi advised that and endometrial ablation should help me. Approximately 3 weeks later I was admitted as a day patient for the procedure. Mr Razvi advised me what I could expect post surgery; slight pain, discomfort and light bleeding. The bleeding lasted about 3 weeks and I had hardly any pain or discomfort. I can honestly say I am a changed person.  I have had only one small show since the procedure and no migraines.  I have energy that I haven’t had in a long time. Mr Razvi and the hospital staff were wonderful. I FEEL AMAZING.

Before the operation I was experiencing a great deal of discomfort for a majority of the day. It affected my general wellbeing and caused me to be reluctant to continue my usual activities, although hitherto I had enjoyed participating in family and other leisure pastimes. I approached the hospital with great trepidation, but from the reception staff right through to the medical team including the anaesthetist, nurse and surgeon Mr Razvi I found everyone so kind and caring. This reassurance in turn gave me complete confidence and peace of mind. I can’t thank you and your staff enough. I find it very difficult to find the words to express my gratitude adequately and will happily recommend the Nuffield Hospital to family and friends.

Mrs G T – Nuffield Brentwood Hospital

I am very pleased with the treatment and care that I received at the Nuffield Brentwood Hospital. My consultant Mr Razvi was excellent. I am very happy with the care and consideration he showed me and the aftercare was superb. Thank you for helping me through a very difficult time.

Mrs C M – Nuffield Brentwood Hospital

I found Mr Razvi very approachable, pleasant and positive. He listened to my concerns with understanding. I am happy with both his care and the hospital’s care.

At a very upsetting time for my husband and myself, being informed I had cancer, we found Mr Razvi a very kind and calming influence. He explained every step of the procedure in a way which was very easy to understand and in a very positive manner. In fact, it has made coming to terms with cancer much easier for us and I am no longer terrified of the word. My visits to Mr Razvi are now every four months and I have just had a CT scan with good results. I will continue these visits for five years after the operation and I am no longer frightened as it is just like visiting an old friend.

I felt well, but became aware that my tummy was becoming increasingly bloated. I found it difficult to bend down, making it very hard to put my shoes on or cut my toenails. I went to my GP who arranged a CT scan which showed abnormalities. I arranged a consultation at the Wellesley Hospital where I had an MRI scan which showed a large cyst on my ovaries. Mr Razvi arranged for me to have an operation at the Nuffield in Brentwood where he removed, in his words “everything you don’t need, including you appendix” The operation was a complete success, and was followed up with 6 sessions of chemotherapy.

Mrs S B – Nuffield Brentwood Hospital

No surgery required. Due to late diagnosis of parent, treatment and prognosis were limited. Tests schedule and results were clear, giving peace of mind. I have been happy with the care and appreciated the caring approach to all my concerns.

Ms T H – Spire Roding Hospital

I was experiencing an irregular menstrual cycle and tummy pain. My doctor referred me to Mr Razvi as she suspected that the pain may be due to a gynaecological cause. I felt that Mr Razvi took the time to listen to my concerns and was very thorough in his questions and examination. During the examination and colposcopy Mr Razvi was gentle and reassuring. I found him to be kind, knowledgeable and reassuring and had complete confidence in his skills.

Ms SM – Nuffield Brentwood Hospital

I had excellent care. My family and I felt reassured by Mr Razvi and confident throughout my treatment. I made a speedy recovery and after just a month, I feel completely normal despite having had major surgery. I couldn’t have asked for better care, before, during and after!

Miss SN – Spire Wellesley Hospital

I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease in 2000. My health is up and down due to this condition, and on top of this I have rheumatoid arthritis. I have had 2 C sections, a right hemicolectomy, and an ileo-colectomy. Having suffered with fistulas I am on 8 weekly infusions of the drug “Infliximab”. After an emergency admission for a partial bowel obstruction in August 2014, a dermoid cyst was picked up on an MRI scan and I was advised to seek advice from a gynaecologist. I had an open salpingo-oophorectomy at Southend University Hospital. I would like to say that I am extremely happy with how things went. I would like to extend my thanks and gratefulness to Mr Khalil Razvi who from the moment I met him, put my mind at complete ease, as I am an extremely nervous patient having had some very unpleasant procedures. Can I say that Khalil felt like a friend, not my surgeon!

Mrs C B – Nuffield Brentwood Hospital

Mr Razvi put my mind at rest. His manner was so relaxed that it helped me to put my full confidence in him. He is very experienced and excellent at what he does. I knew I was in the best hands.
Mr Razvi put my mind and fears to rest by being patient and answering any and every question I had. I would definitely recommend Mr Razvi to anyone who is thinking of having surgery.

Mrs D P – Nuffield Brentwood Hospital

The care that I received from Mr Razvi was very good, and over the three years that I have been seeing you, we have built up a relationship based on trust. I feel very relaxed when seeing you and you always explain everything to me and put me at ease.

Mrs M LG – Spire Wellesley Hospital

I have been having this treatment for a number of years, every 4 months. I am very happy with the results as it has saved me from having a hysterectomy. My life has not changed since I have had this treatment which shows how successful it is. The hospital staff are always very welcoming and Mr Razvi makes me feel as much at ease as possible. I would like to say thank you to Mr Razvi.

Removal of ovary:
I had a hysterectomy and cancerous cells were found on the womb, so I needed to have ovary removed to make sure the cancer hadn’t spread. I was in good health – no pain at all, and was able to carry on as normal. I had keyhole surgery to remove the ovary, but needed to be cut in order to find the ovary. The results were good, and I felt happy that all was well and I was able to carry on with my life feeling confident. I had very good care in the hospital, and was looked after well. I had a follow up appointment with Mr Razvi before the all clear. I was very happy with my treatment.

Ms S S – Spire Wellesley Hospital

From the moment I met Mr Razvi I felt at ease when he explained my condition and details of the operation required. He was always positive which helped me through those difficult days. I have nothing but praise for the way he carried out the operation and subsequent regular health checks over the past 5 years.

Mrs V L – Spire Wellesley Hospital

I needed to have a radical hysterectomy due to an abnormal smear test and after having cells burnt out and biopsy taken. I found out that I had cervical cancer. Mr Razvi and his team were amazing and very supportive to my family. Mr Razvi did a perfect job and I am very happy with the results as having such a small scar helped my confidence and to feel at ease with myself.
